Learning for Life Programme (Student Leadership)
In alignment with the School Vision, ‘Every Child an Engaged Learner, a Caring Citizen and a Steadfast Leader’, the focus of Learning for Life Programme (LLP) would be on inculcating the School Core Values (Ambition, Self-discipline, Perseverance, Integrity, Respect, Empathy) through community service (Values in Action) and student leadership development via a Tiered Student Leadership Development Programme to develop servant leaders who focus on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong.
The guiding idea in our tiered leadership programme centres on developing servant leadership among our student leaders. A segmented and targeted approach allows us to cater to the needs and expectations of students across the levels and ensures progressive development of SE Competencies.
In their leadership development journey, students are provided many platforms to demonstrate their skills and opportunities to exercise creativity and innovation. Students at the highest tier plan and execute “Teachers’ Day” celebration and concert .The school also provides ample opportunities for extension of learning across the domains of school to community to nation to environment to world. Annual camps provide experiential learning through learning journeys and hands-on activities. Student leaders come together to serve and lead. Students who exhibit outstanding leadership qualities will be selected for Global Leadership Programme to extend their learning further. The programme is aimed at developing student leaders’ 21st Century Competencies in global awareness, endurance and being socially responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the community.
Our student leaders are empowered and are always recognised for their contributions. We acknowledge and affirm students’ effort to promote a sense of pride and confidence. Platforms like Prefects Investiture are created for students to pledge their commitment and loyalty to the school not only as student leaders but also as leaders who are embracing the values of servant leadership.
