Important Dates to Note: School Terms and Holidays for 2024

Term 4: 9 September to 15 November

Arrival and Dismissal

Children should attend kindergarten daily and be present for the entire programme.

 AM session: 8.00AM to 12.00PM
 PM session: 1.00PM to 5.00PM

Gate 3 will be used for arrival and dismissal

Birthday Celebration

MK will celebrate the birthday of those children born in the month on the last Friday before the month ends. Celebrations will include a cake, birthday song and pictures of birthday children. All children will enjoy the cake for snack.

Parents are discouraged from preparing food-related items for goodie bags due to allergies and medical conditions of children. Stationery items and story books are good gifts for goodie bags. Do plan wisely and discuss with the class teacher before making your purchases.

Unwell Child

 Health screening will be conducted daily upon arrival. If your child has the following symptoms, please keep your child at home.

● high fever (above 37.5 ° C)
● throat infection
● conjunctivitis (sore eyes)
● diarrhoea
● vomiting
● head lice
● communicable diseases such as chicken pox, gastric flu, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, measles, mumps, rubella

Children who are unwell or have had recent contact with infected persons are strongly encouraged to self-test using an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kit.

Important: Children who return to kindergarten after recovering from an infectious disease but are still showing symptoms of illness (after the expiry of medical certification), will need to produce a certificate of health from the medical practitioner for the child to return to the kindergarten.

MK teachers will not administer medication to your child or do the ART test.

Admissions and Fees

MOE Kindergarten fees

The monthly fee for MK in 2022 and 2023 is:

●      $160 for Singapore Citizens (SCs).
●      $320 for Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

Fees are also payable during the June and December holidays.

MK financial assistance

If your child is a Singapore Citizen, they may qualify for financial assistance under the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS). KiFAS is provided by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and applies only to MK school fees.

MK Uniform

Purchasing of MK Uniforms

Children attending MK@ Princess Elizabeth should look smart by wearing well-fitted MOE Kindergarten Uniform, socks, and fully covered shoes for their daily lessons. Please purchase your child/ward's uniforms directly from the following suppliers via the website or retail outlets. Do make an appointment before visiting the store and check on availability of sizes beforehand.
